Camera Work
there was not much use of various camera shots or camera angles, we feel it was very basic in terms of different action shots and positions. Certain points were very effective such as the blood in the water as it conformed to the thriller genre. We feel that to improve their camera work they could of used more editing and techniques in their opening sequence!
Editing
there was little or no editing involved in this piece, however the little they did include went well with their type of film.
Mise-en-scene
The scene was very dark and in parts unclear to focus on, however the blood used in the water was very effective and worked well to emphasise the thriller theme. They used alot of contrast between the shots, from light to dark which didnt work that well.
Soundtrack
The soundtrack really went well with the opening sequence but was quite repetitive. It was more of a noise than a piece of music, and could have had a little more variation. The soundtrack was very morbid and added to the mood of the film.
Titles
the titles in this piece were very clear to understand and kept to only certain clips of blood in water. this was good as it gave a break in between each new title by having a small clip of some abstract and surreal filming. the titles were both clean and placed in good positions, for the audience to understand, without interfering with the filming itself.
